High Sierra Management, Inc. is a full service management company and prides itself on the personal and effective management of homeowners associations. Our continuing goal is to provide the best possible service at the most reasonable cost.

By organizing and supervising day-to-day association operations, the Board of Directors is able to concentrate on the important policy and procedural decisions required by the corporation. We have found that efficient and effective association management can only be accomplished through communication and teamwork between the Board of Directors, management, developers and vendors.

We place a high value in all the consultants, vendors and staff we select. We consider all of our consultants and vendors as a loyal extension of our "family team" and seek to form lasting positive relationships based on professionalism, respect and quality performance. Therefore, it is important to understand that integral members of our company will share our visions for our clients and work toward all common goals.

Through our planning, organizing, research, and sound business practices, the administrative, fiscal, and physical management of your community is accomplished. These almost invisible activities contribute greatly to the success and financial stability of your community association, commercial and residential property.

High Sierra Management is proud to say that we are certified through Community Associations Institute as having met all the standards necessary to be an Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC).

Meet the Partners

  • Sherri Carey

    CMCA, AMS, PCAM - President (Partner)

    Sherri is a native Texan and has lived in the Greater Houston area for 20+ years with her husband and two sons. She holds a degree in Journalism, has been in the management industry for 18+ years and started High Sierra Management in 2007. Sherri has earned one of the highest designation in her field from the national organization of Community Associations Institute (CAI), which is the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM). She also holds the Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designations. These designations are obtained through many years of service and continued education through the local and national industry organizations. Sherri has also been involved in many education related committees in the industry and was awarded Houston Educator of the Year in 2003 from the Greater Houston Chapter of CAI(GHC-CAI). She has also been an editor of the GHC-CAI Facets Bi-Monthly magazine for 5 years, currently serving her second year on the GHC-CAI Executive Board of Directors, earned the CAI Houston Chapter President's Star Award in 2009, is an active member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's Ladies Go Texan Committee and is involved in various charities.

  • Richard Jeffries

    Vice President (Partner)

    Dick is an owner and founder of Colorado Management & Associates, Inc. and partner for High Sierra Management, Inc. He has sold and managed real estate in Colorado for the past 40+ years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State College. Dick has received the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM), Association Management Specialist (AMS) and the Certified Manager of Community Association (CMCA) designations.

  • William R. Peterson

    Secretary (Partner)

    Bill is a Colorado native and has lived in the Denver area for over 45 years. He is a graduate of Purdue University and holds a degree in Industrial Management. Bill has been a member of Community Associations Institute (CAI) since 1972 and was one of the original Board of Directors of the Rocky Mountain Chapter. He has spoken at several national conventions and hosted the national PCAM case study in 1996.

    Bill has received the Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designations and several related awards over the last 20 years. His additional professional licenses and certificates include Real Estate, Multi-Lines Insurance, Life, Accident and Health Insurance and he holds a Professional Golf Association (PGA) Card. Additionally, he is a Court Appointed Claims Administrator for Class Action Settlements. Bill formed Colorado Management & Associates in 1982.

I found it so informative and interesting, but more so, I was completely blown away by the width and breadth of your knowledge and ease in communicating on all topics with the group. Nothing stumped you! I feel that we, as a community, are extremely fortunate to have someone so clearly qualified (and possibly over-qualified) managing our HOA.
